Geraldine Ann Thompson, 93, of Huntington, passed away at 12:10 am Friday, July 9, 2021 at Miller's Merry Manor, Huntington.
Geraldine was born on March 2, 1928 in Huntington, IN, the daughter of Calvin Brown and Freida (Leu) Brown. She graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1947 and married David Byron Thompson on June 26,1954 in Huntington. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1990. She retired as a Machine Operator from Wabash Magnetics after 20+ years of service. Geraldine was a member of the Central Christian Church and she loved playing games of any kind, canning, yard work, animals, camping, and yodeling.
Survivors include her Three Sons, Byron A. (Michelle) Thompson of Ft. Wayne, IN, Greg L. (Melissa) Thompson of Huntington, IN; Son, Samuel E. (Martha) Thompson of San Antonio, TX; Two Daughters, Tina (Timothy) Inman of Huntington, IN, Melissa A. (Robert) Jones of Warren, IN; Twelve Grandchildren; Twenty-One Great Grandchildren; and Two Great-Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Husband, David Byron Thompson, Father, Calvin Brown, Mother, Freida Brown, Brother, Jack Brown, and Sisters, Cleo LaRee Cline, June Fisher, Doris Martin, Charlene Smith, and Betty Roberson.
Visitation was from 3 pm – 7 pm Monday, July 12, 2021 at Central Christian Church, 500 MacGahan Street, Huntington, IN. Funeral services was held at 11:00 am Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at Central Christian Church with Pastor Chris Hayden officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington. Preferred memorials may be made in memory of Geraldine to the Central Christian Church or to Cancer Services of Huntington, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, IN, 46750.
