Alice Washington Obituary

Alice T. Washington, 74, of Henryville, died Saturday, July 24, in her home. She was the wife of the late James D. Washington.

Born on Jan. 31, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Laura (McGriff) Hendrickson.

A resident of Monroe County for the past 10 years, she previously lived in Beckley, W.V.

Surviving are four daughters, Cheryl M. Williams of Beckley, W.V., Donna Aiken and her husband Byron of Converse, Texas, Tina Miller and her husband Jonah Sr. of Deltona, Fla., and Cindy Washington and her husband Silverio Soto of Henryville; grandchildren, Steven, Theresa, Gregory, Shannah, Talicia, Byron Jr., Andre, Rashad, Melody, Ebony, Jonah Jr., Tiffany, Lionel, Donell, Marcus, Cynthia, Turquoise, Juwan and Brandon; great-grandchildren, Evan, Bruce II, Kelcey Brooke, Nitalia Alizabeth, Gavin II, Jacmaily, Arinelle, Isaiah, Devron, Elijah and Jayden; and one brother, Henry Hendrickson Jr. and his wife Mildred of Brooklyn, N.Y. Alice was predeceased by two sons, Stephen Williams and Anthony Williams; and two brothers, Bernard Hendrickson and Joseph Hendrickson.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, July 30, at Reaching Our For Jesus Christian Center, Route 209, Brodheadsville. Pastor Pearman will officiate.

There will be a viewing from 6 p.m. until time of the services on Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
