Andrew LaBadie Obituary

Andrew P. LaBadie, 82, of East Stroudsburg, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, on Aug. 7, 1920, he was the son of the late Christian and Pearl (Barry) LaBadie.

He worked at Golf World in East Stroudsburg for 15 years, and gave golf lessons. Before working at Golf World, he was employed as a maintenance man for five years at Celanese Corp., Belvidere, N.J. Prior to that, he worked at Abbott Dairy in Stroudsburg as a driver and deliveryman.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Eagles Club in Stroudsburg, and Grace Lutheran Church, East Stroudsburg.

Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Victoria Cruz of Bethlehem; two grandchildren, Devin Cruz of Allentown, and Felicia Cruz of Bethlehem; one great granddaughter, Cali Rose Cruz of Allentown; one brother, Ted LaBadie of East Stroudsburg; and two sisters, Grace Hayes of Saylorsburg, and Marilyn Edinger of Stroudsburg.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26, at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St., East Stroudsburg. The Rev. Raymond Poortstra will officiate. Burial follows in Prospect Cemetery, East Stroudsburg. Cremation will take place prior to the memorial service at H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 12:30 p.m. until time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
