I met Bryan through work. We immediately hit it off while talking about his tattoos, our shared music interests, and his love for video games. A nerd recognizing a nerd. Over the weeks he quickly became one of our own. Bryan had a unique soul. The perfect balance of compassion with sarcasm. He could make you laugh when you needed it. But also made sure you could always talk to him about anything at any time. He had a way of putting others first that was inspiring and my life will forever be changed knowing him. I am so lucky to have been friends with such an amazing person. I’ll never forget the nights we spent just hanging out in our living room playing games and talking about life and I will cherish those memories forever. I love you friend.

Bryan was an amazing person and a great friend. He left this world so young. However, the impact he’s made in our lives will last forever.

Bryan and I watched a ton of anime together, something I always looked forward to on Fridays.

We would watch episode after episode talking about what might happen next or laugh about some ecchi scene.

One of Bryan’s favorite style of anime is called “Isekai” ([Life after death]being born in a different world). We would talk about how cool it would be to wake up in a different world, that some of the characters had been introduced to.

I miss those conversations, I miss the time I won’t be able to have with Bryan. We had made so many plans. I miss my friend so much.

I hope that Bryan has made it exactly where he wanted to be. Isekai’d ([life after death]being born in a different world).

In the very short time I knew Bryan he was always a hard working coworker and always open to conversation and wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. He was very kind to me in our interactions as well as with anyone of his coworkers. He will be missed and remembered by the entire Derb family.

to one of the funniest, kindest people I’ve ever met. I truly appreciate the memories of when you, Sam and I started to work every weekend together. All week I really looked forward to laughing with you all day. And Sam making you laugh on purpose when you were trying to eat. And Sam making you laugh on accident when your stomach hurt, you couldn’t stop cracking up and he’d say “I’m not even doing anything” and you’d say “Literally just stop looking at me” just cracking up uncontrollably and going “ow”. And hanging at Dylan and Casey’s. You’re top 3 of my favorite people at this job and I’ll always sincerely miss you and your RBF and making you laugh. I always appreciated that you were never fake, you never pretended to like anyone you didn’t like and you never feigned interest in something you didn’t care about. I value those kinds of people a lot to give me a clear perspective on things and you did that for me. I’m sorry that I didn’t get to come see you, I was afraid. I’m glad that the last time we saw each other we laughed about something silly and were happy. That’s how I’ll always remember you. Get some rest.

Bryan was a good, laid-back guy. A joy to work with and I always enjoyed the conversations we shared. He was very open and honest and authentic. He felt comfortable enough with himself and with other people to share what was on his mind; a quality a respected and admired about him. It always led to good bonding between us two. He will be missed dearly.
