Derek Shaver Obituary

Derek R. Shaver, 10, of Shamong, N.J., died Sunday, March 30.

Derek was a student in the 4th grade at Indian Mills Memorial School. He is the beloved son of Jeanette L (nee Green) and John Shaver. He is the brother of Brenden at home. He is the maternal grandson of Donald R. and Ellen M. Green of Stroudsburg, and the paternal grandson of Charles F. and Helen M. Shaver of Saylorsburg. He is the nephew of Stan and Lori Iwanowski of Tabernacle, Gerald and Virginia Green of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Charles Shaver Jr. of Saylorsburg, Thomas Shaver of Stroudsburg, Theresa Bongiovanni of Hamlin, and Joshua Shaver of Saylorsburg.

A Celebration of Derek's life will be from noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 5, at the Indian Mills Memorial School Gymnasium. A reception will follow in the school cafeteria. A private burial will be held at Jr. Mechanics Cemetery, Carranza Road, Tabernacle.

Family, friends and classmates are invited to a viewing from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 5, at the Indian Mills Memorial School Media Center, 295 Indian Mills Road, Shamong.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Derek's memory may be made to the Derek Shaver Memorial Fund, and mailed to Commerce Bank, 517 Stokes Road, Medford, NJ 08055 or to the school.
