Doris Yenser Obituary
Born Dec. 19, 1925, in Slatington, she was a daughter of the late Luther S. and Olive H. (Handwerk) Stein. Prior to retirement, Doris worked for more than 28 years as a layout operator with the former AT&T company, which is now Lucent Tech in Allentown.
She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moorestown; a past president and past four county president of American Legion Auxilliary Post 470, Bath; a founding and charter member of the Kleeknersville Rangers Ladies Auxillary; and a life member of the Racoon Club and Petersville Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving is a daughter, Karen D. Bush and husband, Stanley; a son, Jerry R. Yenser and wife, Debra; six sisters: Bernice Kern, Lucille Rex, Marlene Fetchko, Janet Hall and twins Jean Smith and Joyce Lesher; a brother, Richard Stein; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her companion, Peter Wetzel.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Charles, Bruce, Archie and Austin Stein.
Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday, July 17, in Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Nazareth. Interment will follow in Lower Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, July 17, in Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 696 Johnson Road, Nazareth, PA 18064.

I am saddened to learn of Doris's passing. I didn't know her personally, but I am friends with Karen Bush and I heard nothing but wonderful things about her. May God bring comfort to the family during this difficult time.

I am in shock.. I had no idea Doris was even ill..she was a good friend to my mother ( Bessie Seifert) and to me also..I will deeply miss her and our phone chats..my deepest sympathy goes out to all her family members and Pete..
