Katherine Cornils Obituary

Katherine C. Cornils, 91, of Bartonsville, died Friday, Dec. 5, in the Stroud Manor Nursing Home, East Stroudsburg. She was the widow of Herman Cornils, who died in 1968.

Born in Fort Lee, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Brandenburg) Cottellie. She was a resident of Monroe County since 1997. Prior to that, she lived in the Toms River, N.J. area for 30 years and in her earlier years in the Hasbrouck Heights, N.J. area.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

Katherine is survived by a son, Herman Cornils of Mesa, Ariz.; three daughters: Jocelyn Greiner, Kim Rey, and Andrea Sands, all of Bartonsville; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Ellen Janowitz of Port Richie, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, from the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N. Ninth Street, Stroudsburg. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Cemetery, Clifton, N.J.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday, until the time of services at the funeral home.
