Mike, my friend, I will truly miss you. There were good times, there were bad times, but the memories are all sweet. I mostly remember all the time spent in the woods. That seemed to be your most natural place. Apshawa Trails, Apshawa Rock, Butler Reservoir, Kahlan, the Pine Forest, the Big Rock Campsite, to name only a few. Cabins, campsites, and campfires (and cabin stew!). Not to mention motorcycles, ATCs, and even mopeds (The Harley Davidson Moped Gang!). You always had an amazing story to tell and you always told it so well. Times did change for me and I found myself making decisions that took me far away from New Jersey. I sincerely regret not keeping in touch with you. May your burdens be lifted and peace fill your heart. I’ll see you in the sweet by-and-by. My deepest sympathies to your family and all of your friends. You are missed, truly missed.

I'll continue to find comfort in the great memories. I see the party nights around the camp fires from way back when, the long frigid days of fishing on the ice, the concerts down in the Meadowlands, the all day dirt bike rides in the watershed, my 1st deer that Mike drove me, 4 wheelin in the jeep, and the countless hrs of fun and laughter. Most of all, I suppose I'll miss the never ending animated stories. Mike, I hope you find the peace you're looking for.....and you should know the trans from your Firebird is still in the Cutlass.....when the weather clears, I'll burn some tire for you!

Mike was special to a lot of people .. Family .. Friends ..loved ones .Distance separates us
but the love and caring is always heart to heart .We will miss him and keep him in our
hearts forever .
There is no answer or “cure” for what has happened. Our wounds cannot be “cured
It is neither short nor easy. It is a trip that begins in a nightmare and travels through areas we never want to revisit . It leaves us forever altered … wiser, more compassionate, and stronger than we knew we could be.
No one thing helps a lot ... a lot of things help a little."... but we will never forget the boy , teen ,
and adult man he was . Sleep , Mike and find peace . We love you .

I heard about Mike's passing from a childhood friend. I'm very sorry. Although I haven't seen Mike since graduation, it is always upsetting to hear someone from your childhood has passed.
I'm truly sorry for your loss.
