Rita P. Laubner, 95, of Wind Gap and formerly of Marshalls Creek, died early Saturday morning, June 12, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem. She was the wife of William Laubner with whom she shared 74 years of marriage.
Born on November 9, 1925 in Bushkill, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Stella C. (Shaute) Schoonover.
She worked at Wyckoff's Department Store in Stroudsburg and was a member of the Dorothy Lim Memorial Court #110 Order of the Amaranth.
Rita and her husband enjoyed traveling.
In addition to her husband, surviving are two children, Laura "Laurie" Stasak and husband Robert of Wind Gap and William C. Laubner and wife Barbara of Prescott, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles F. Schoonover.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 17, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St., Stroudsburg with viewing beginning at 10:00AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Middle Smithfield Township.
