Rose Sabo Obituary

Rose Marie Sabo, 77, of Martins Creek died Saturday in Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital. She was the husband of the late Albert S. Sabo, who died in 1983.

Born in Martins Creek on Dec. 12, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Attilio and Rose (Anicola) DeBerardinis.

She was a graduate of Easton High School and Churchman's Business School. She was a school bus driver for 28 accident-free years for Palmeri Transportation. Previously, she was a medical transcriptionist at Easton Hospital, and she worked with her husband on the Sabo Bros. Farms, Lower Mount Bethel Township.

She was a member of St. Rocco's Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was treasurer of the Lower Mount Bethel Ambulance Corps for 30 years. She was a member of St. Anthony's Golden Age Club and very much enjoyed traveling. She was devoted to her family and loved caring for her grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Nancy Rose of Nazareth, Joanne Hykes of Stroudsburg, Kathleen Sabo of Nazareth, and Michelle Zeruth of North Bangor; two brothers, Attilio F. of Martins Creek and Ferdinand L. of Roseto; and four grandchildren, Zachary and Samantha Zeruth and David and Megan Sabo.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, Route 611 and Alpha Avenue, Martins Creek, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Rocco's Catholic Church. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Rocco's Catholic Church Memorial Fund.
