Walter William Dabrowski

Walter William Dabrowski, 76, of Myerstown and formerly of East Stroudsburg, died on Thursday, March 8, at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. He was the loving husband of Concetta Marie "Connie" Aloise Dabrowski and they were married on Oct. 4, 1953.

Born on June 3, 1930, in Astoria, N.Y., he was the son of the late Walter and Catherine Geiser Dabrowski. He had been a resident of Myerstown since January and, prior to that, of East Stroudsburg for more than 34 years.

Prior to his retirement, he was a cement mason for most of his life, and after that he worked at the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Snydersville for several years.

He was an active member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served during the Korean War.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, John Dabrowski and his wife, Mary, of Navarre, Fla., and Stephen Dabrowski and his wife, Tricia, of Newtown Square; and his grandchildren Keith, Christina and Jennica.

There will be visitations from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, and Monday, March 12, at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, 23 N. Ninth St., Stroudsburg, PA 18360. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 200 Brodhead Ave., East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Military burial will follow in Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.
