My apologies for only finding this site now. My sympathy and condolences to friends and family. But I hope I can offer a memory, following on the one below. First met Bill "Haus" in third grade, when his mother was my teacher in Ewing Township. Later Bill was a role model for me in sports at HoVal, where he was a Senior and I was a nerdy Frosh. He also played Center Half in soccer, a position usually assigned to a skilled ball handler who was also a team player and could pass to an open striker and also play defense. As noted, he also started baseball and basketball. I can remember seeing a Varsity practice as a Freshman and wondering, could I ever be that good. Well, those players inspired me to get better; I eventually started Varsity as Jr. and Sr., by my own account leading the team in assists each year. Also finally started in Center Field in baseball my Sr. year, but was decent field-terrible hit, and never played above the HS level. Bill also served as role model for sports-person-ship, playing strategically and well but never dirty. I am sorry he is gone, and I expect more are as well.

To Bill & Rosemary and family:
I am shocked and saddened to read of Bill's untimely death. I remember Bill when he played sports at Hopewell Valley H.S., especially basketball and baseball. He was a great competitor, the kind of player that Coach Norm Udy loved to coach. I remember Bill's big and easy smile, that he had a heart as big as a lion's when he competed, and how his athletic play always made his mother and father so proud. I hope your memories of him comfort you in the days ahead.
