Billy Holloway

1941 - 2024

Billy Neal Holloway of Enterprise, AL, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at the age of 82. Billy was born in Pontotoc, Mississippi to the late Delane and Jewel Holloway. He met his wife, Katrina, while being stationed at Ft. Rucker and they later married in 1962. The two were together for over 49 years, until Katrina's passing in 2011.

Billy was a very active member and previous elder of the Liberty Church of Christ in Elba. Most of the community will also remember Billy fondly as the owner of Bill's Tire Service on Main Street for over 30 years. He retired in 2006, where he decided to take time to relax, enjoy his new farm in the Goodman Community with his goats and donkeys, and be a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Billy filled the rest of his later-life time with Mitchell Automotive Group, starting as a Driver then a Dispatcher. That group became his second family and he loved still being involved in the auto industry.

Billy leaves behind family and friends that will miss him greatly - his son, Keith Holloway (Andrea) of Maitland, FL; his daughter, Dana Mack (Keith) of Enterprise, AL; three grandchildren, Natasha Boswell (Ludger) of Kinston, AL; Dillon Mack of Moncks Corner, SC; and Katie Grimes (Austin) of Elba, AL; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Haven Boswell. Amazing Julie Spears brought a new wonderful light to Billy's life in later years. Levarl and June Wallace were incredible friends, who constantly lifted Billy's spirit with their continual help and kindness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 2, 2024 (with a short visitation 10:00 am - 11:00 am prior) at Searcy Funeral Home Chapel (Enterprise) with Minister Greg Hanchey and Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home the night prior on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. Flowers will be accepted, otherwise memorial donations may be made in Billy's name to: Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, PO Box 404, Elba, AL 36323.
