It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved father and dedicated Physician, Dr. Dev Narayan, MD. He peacefully transitioned on Monday, July 17, 2023, at the age of 83, surrounded by family, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be etched in our hearts.

Dr. Narayan was truly a self-made man. Despite limited resources and many challenges, through his own hard work, determination, and resilience, he forged a successful career and numerous life accomplishments for himself and future generations. He was not only a brilliant Cardiologist, but also a compassionate and kind-hearted soul who touched the lives of countless patients and colleagues during his distinguished career. Born with a natural talent for healing and a profound sense of empathy, he was unwavering in his commitment to providing the best possible care for his patients, earning their trust and admiration over the years.

Outside the realm of medicine, Dr. Narayan was a philanthropist at heart. He understood the importance of giving back to the community. Driven by his desire to make a meaningful difference, he established a foundation dedicated to supporting education and healthcare initiatives within Charlotte County, his home of nearly 50 years, and in Kerala, India, where he was born and raised.

Through this Foundation, he provided scholarships and educational opportunities to underprivileged students, allowing them to pursue their dreams and achieve their potential. Dr. Narayan firmly believed that education was a powerful tool to transform lives and empower future generations.

A pillar of strength and a source of inspiration, Dr. Narayan will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His presence enriched the lives of those around him, and his departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our hearts.

As we mourn the loss of an exceptional individual, we also celebrate a life well-lived, and we find solace in the memories we shared with him. Let us remember his laughter, his wisdom, and the profound impact he had on each of us.
