MARTHA JANE ROBERTS-STAPLETON

Martha Jane Roberts-Stapleton, 80, of Ironton, formerly of Sciotodale, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 2, 2014, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. She was born July 24, 1933, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late John Mason Osborne and Laura Abigail Swearingen Osborne. She attended Community Tabernacle in Coal Grove. Surviving are her husband, William Stapleton; one son, Clark Roberts and wife Denise, of Breman, Ohio; one daughter, Vickie Riepenhoff and husband Larry, of Wheelersburg; 2 brothers, Harlan Osborne of Arizona and Charles Osborne of West Virginia; a special stepson and daughter-in-law, Terry and Gladys Stapleton, of Ironton; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Harold "Fuzz" Roberts; a son, Tony Roberts and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at the Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Mark Adkins officiating, with interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. www.swickbussachamberlin.com.
