Arlene A. Palmer
Arlene A. Palmer, 81, of Bethlehem, died Friday, April 15, 2005 in her residence. Born in Pen Argyl on November 14, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Eva (Doney) Barber. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem. She was a former member of the Pen Argyl Junior Womens Club and a former Sunday school teacher for the former Pen Argyl Presbyterian Church. She was a 1941 graduate of Pen Argyl High School. She and her husband, Sheldon A. Palmer, celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary April 14, 2005. Survivors: In addition to her husband, Sheldon, she is survived by three daughters, Ciaran D. Palmer of Bethlehem, Susan E. Palmer of Breinigsville and Pamela K. Hauptmann of Hellertown; grandson, Jeremy Palmer. A sister, Norma Bath, died earlier. Services: graveside, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2005 in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evening, April 19, in the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, 126 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Pen Argyl. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to Wesley United Methodist Church, 2540 Center St., Bethlehem 18017 or Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, 1227 Liberty St., Allentown 18102.
