Fred Duncan Obituary

DR. FRED DUNCAN Evansville/Gary, Indiana Age 84, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2006. He worked at International Harvester, Watson Barber Shop, Gary Welfare Dept., and Gary Community Schools. He also worked at Evansville Psychiatric Children's Hosp. He returned to Gary for 3 summers to conduct a Human Relations Institute at West Side High School. He retired from Evansville Vanderburgh School Corp. in 1986, was an active member of Liberty Baptist Male Chorus, a founder of Liberty Housing Authority and Trustee Emitus. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Survivors: wife, Ruby; daughter, Regina; sons Rev. Roger (Lois) and Stanley (Geneva); sister, Anna Mary (Cleo); sister-in-law, Billy Judson; grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church, 701 Oak St. Evansville, Thursday, March 23, at 12:00 noon with Rev. Todd Robertson officiating. Visitation Wednesday March 22, from 3-5 at the Mason Funeral Home, 1001 Lincoln Ave. Evansville, and 6-8 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church. Family can be reached at 725 Libertyway #7207 Evansville, IN.

I CANNOT REMEMBER A TIME WHEN MR. DUNCAN DID NOT GREET ME WITH A SMILE..WE HAVE LOST A GOOD MAN , FATHER AND EXAMPLE..I WILL MISS HIM.

You were truly a great man grandpa!You have accomplished things that were not easy for any man, especially a Black man, to do in your life time. You've taught how to live life with no regrets, and love and be close to family. You have set the standard for any man that allow to be part of my life!
