JAMES EDWARD HOBBS "JIM" Passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Southlake, He was a 1961 Graduate of Roosevelt High School, employed with USX 19th Warehouse, with 39 years of service. He attended Gary Christian Center. He is preceded in death by parents, John Sr. and Hattie Hobbs; loving sister Annella Hollins; brother John W. Hobbs Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory 2 children, Marvine and Kash Hobbs; and their mother, LaVonne Hobbs, all of East Chicago, IN; 3 grandchildren, Gemese Smith of East Chicago, Kash and James Hobbs of Gary; 1 brother, Albert (Geneva) Hobbs of Carson, CA; 2 sisters, Ella Morrow (Leon Gross) of Ichula, MS and Clarice Hobbs of Gary; sister in law, Carolyne (John Jr) Hobbs; devoted niece Patricia (Alvin) Morrison; devoted nephew Darryl Morrow; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; special friend Letoyia Cotton; devoted friends, Gregory McDuffie, George Arceo, Sheila Anderson, Richard Zeba, Henry Felton, and Ezell Nickson; devoted cousins Oretha Jones, Luretha Hennings; 1 uncle; 4 aunts. Visitation Monday, June 23, 2003 from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. Family Hour 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Smith, Bizzell and Warner "Your Golden Rule Funeral Home" 4209 Grant St., Gary Funeral Services Tuesday June 24, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Advancing Christ's Kingdom Ministries 901 W 47th Ave, Gary with Pastor James Randolph officiating Interment Evergreen Memorial Park.
