I saw this a bit later than other people I am sorry to say. Jim was one of those people who was easy to talk to . A bit of a gentle giant really. He inspired me to push myself to be the best engineer I could be. People like him made attending Purdue an enjoyable experience.

Jim was a good friend and a pleasure to work with and talk to. He always made time for you. He was always 100% honest with you. You can't ask much more from a human being.
And if you ever heard any of the stories of his days at Purdue..... yes! they were true.

Jim, I know we used to joke about it, but you truly were my 'other-big-brother-from-another-mother'. I'll miss you. Rest in eternal peace.

Jim was a great guy who always had a smile on his face. He talked about his daughters and how proud he was of them. May he now be at peace.

Jim, you were a great man, a great friend, and a great father. Hardly a day went past when you didn't talk lovingly about your daughters. Your laugh would fill the room, and your spirit remains. You now live with the angels, may your rest be peaceful.
