Joan Hrebec Obituary

JOAN K. HREBEC Age 65, of Wildwood, Missouri, formerly of Merrillville, IN, passed away in St. Louis, MO. on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004. Joan served as Chief Deputy in the Ross Twp. Trustee's Office. She was a former member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority, Phi Mu Sorority, and PEO. Preceded in death by husband, Gerald. Survived by 3 children, John (Donna) Hrebec of Western Springs, IL, Elizabeth (Larry) Jackson of St. Louis, MO, and Jennifer (Dan) Melton, also of St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren, William, Thomas, and Mark Hrebec, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Kristen, and Kelly Jackson, Corrie, Sabrina, Amanda and Hilary Melton; 1 brother, John Kochis of Minneapolis, MN. Funeral Service Friday, Oct. 22, 2004 at 9:15 AM at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, and 10 AM at Sts. Peter & Paul Church. Rev. Dennis J. Teles officiating. Burial will be Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends may call Thursday at the Funeral Home, 3-8 PM. Parish Prayer Service Thursday afternoon at 4 PM. Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority Memorial Service, Thursday at 7 PM. Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Calumet area.

I am so sad to hear about Mrs Hrebec. Such a neat person. When one talks about somebody having class, I always think of her. To me, she was always charming, professional and feminine. A true lady.
