Joel Joiner

JOEL JOINER Gary, Indiana Joel Joiner was born April 5, 1965, in Gary, IN, first born of Joe L. and Ora Jean Joiner. At the age of 8, he confessed Christ at Pilgrim M.B. Church. In 1983 he graduated from Lincoln Academy. In 1987 Joel was diagnosed with Kidney disease which did not stop him. He was employed with Arc Bridges for 25 years. Joel K. Joiner departed this life on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at the Methodist Hospital Northlake. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, General B. Joiner and Arrie Mae Joiner. He is survived by: his loving mother, Ora J. Joiner; father, Joe L. (Joyce) Joiner; 3 brothers, Darrius (Tarryn) Joiner of Indianapolis, IN, Vernon Joiner of Gary, IN, and Rev. Rodney Joiner Sr. of Muskegon, MI; 1 stepbrother, Staff Sgt. Ryan (Tequilla) Kendrick Sr. of Camp Pendleton, CA; 2 sisters, Kandance Muhammad, Barbra J. (Rodney) Mickens; maternal grandmother, Mae Dora Johnson; 1 stepsister, NaKinta Kendrick; 8 nephews, 5 nieces, 1 great-nephew, 1 great-niece; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, December 17, 2007, from 9 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral service immediately following with all services at Tree of Life M.B.
