Larry Grady Obituary

Grady, Larry Gene Sr. Mr. Larry Gene Grady was born on March 18, 1951, to Mr. Hertha and Mrs. Alean Grady on Philadelphia, Mississippi. He was the third child born to this union. Larry graduated from George Washington Carver High School in Philadelphia, Mississippi and attended Mississippi Valley State College. In 1973 he married the love of his life, Florine Loving and to this union a son was born Larry Gene Grady Jr. He was a retired U.S. Steel worker of 30 years in the Coke plant. Larry was a member of Miller First Baptist Church. On the morning of Saturday, January 1, 2011, at the age of 59, Larry Gene Grady Sr. quietly passed away. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and paternal and maternal grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving, devoted wife and caregiver, Mrs. Florine Grady; two daughters Deon (Washington III) Guy of Arlington, Texas, Penny Kelly of Florida; two sons Vandal Grady of New Orleans and Larry Grady Jr. of Wisconsin; five grandchildren; brother John Wayne (Eva) Grady of Gary, IN; two sisters Dorothy F. Grady and Dorothy P. Smith of Gary, IN; mother-in-law Carrie Loving; seven brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law, Auntie Dorothy L. Grady and Uncle Rev. Charles (Evelyn) Burnside a host of nieces, nephews other family members and friends. Visitation Thursday January 6, 2011 from 12-8:00 p.m. Family hour 6-7:00 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 W. 11th Ave. Funeral service Friday, January 7, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Love Feast C.O.G.I.C. 2456 Chase Street. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
