Larry Dante Willis passed away July 20, 2021. He was born March 21, 1988 in Gary, Indiana. The only child born to Larry Jerome Marthel and Edice Maria Willis-Marthel. Larry graduated from Roosevelt High School class of 2006. He was employed at Meats by Linz. Larry was an honorable man full of laughter and joy. He was a kind man and Good Samaritan. He loved the Lord and adored his family. Larry was a provider and a protector. His smile could light up any room. He loved everyone and he would pray for you anywhere. Larry is preceded in death by his first wife Kimberly A. Kelly-Willis, mother Edice Maria Willis-Marthel, father Larry Jerome Marthel and mother-in-law Shannon Kelly. Larry leaves to cherish his fond memories loving wife Gwendolyn Sullivan-Willis; three amazing sons Kyameron, Kharji and Khilan; uncles Ronnie Willis and Kenneth Willis; cousin Bernardo Willis; close cousin/brother Darrell Love; brothers-in-law Franklin Sullivan and Henry Alfred; sisters-in-law Gina, Shamika Sullivan and Virdie Watt-Sullivan and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, August 6, 2021 from 9-11:00a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11:00a.m. All services at the Guy & Allen Chapel. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
