Laurice Jones Obituary

LAURICE ALLEN JONES Gary, Indiana Age 69, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007. She was formerly of Edwards, Mississippi. She was employed 32 years at the Chicago Social Security Administration. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1957. She was a member of Love Thy Neighbor Baptist. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence Allen, Sr.; mother, Inell Allen; and brother, Clarence Allen, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, James Jones; two sisters, Helen Fife and Della Allen, all of Gary, Indiana; two uncles, Herbert Allen of Edwards, Mississippi and Rev. Walter (Marie) Willis of Gary, Indiana; one aunt, Mattie Jackson of Vallejo, California; favorite cousin, Delores (John) Triplett of Gary, Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends. The Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Love Thy Neighbor Baptist, 2153 E. 21st Ave., Gary, Indiana with Rev. Walter Willis, Sr. officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2007 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. with the Family Hour from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Smith, Bizzell, Warner and Son Funeral Home, 4209 Grant St., Gary, IN. smithbizzellwarnerfuneralhome.com

To the Family of Laurice (Allen) Jones, I had seen Laurice only once since we graduated from Roosevelt. My comment then was "Stay as sweet as you are", and it seems to me she did just that.I was the guy who read the letter from her classmates. My prayers go out to you all.
