Loretta Trout Obituary

LORETTA MAY TROUT "Granny" Portage, Indiana Age 95 of Portage, IN, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 in Miller's Merry Manor. Loretta was a homemaker and a resident of Northwest Indiana since 1972. She was a member of the White Shrine in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Loretta was born on September 15, 1910 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Elvin Hart Fenton and Birdie Lester Atkins. She was married to Harold Eugene Trout on November 12, 1931 in Mount Vernon, IL, he preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Loveda (Robert) Shadwell of Portage, IN; grandchildren, Harold (Marsha) Kingery of Portage, Judy (Butch) Vaughn of Milwaukee, WI, Karen (Jim) Helmecy of Portage, Vicky (Benny) Wright of Portage, Tom (April) Kingery of Lake Station, Tim Kingery of Milwaukee, WI, Trudy Cunningham of Portage and Dennis Shadwell of Biloxi, MS; 18 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery located in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Pastor Randy Sells officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, IL. The visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 from 2-7 p.m. at the Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, IN.
