Madison Carter Obituary

MADISON CLAIRE CARTER "Madi" Valparaiso, Indiana Age 9, of Valparaiso, passed away Monday, January 16, 2006 at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. She was born May 30, 1996 in Hobart the daughter of Dr. John & Kim Carter. She was currently a 4th grade student at Cooks Corners Elementary School in Valparaiso where she was active in the school choir, was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and was an accomplished art student at the Art Barn in Valparaiso. She is survived by her parents, Dr. John & Kim Carter of Valparaiso, sister; Riley Carter at home, grandparents; Dr. John & Charlene Carter of Hobart, Don & Martha Govert of Hobart, her beloved dog Bella and numerous loving aunts, uncles & cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother; Catherine Govert in 1975. A funeral mass will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, Fr. Joseph Pawlowski officiating with burial at St. Paul Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 5 - 8 PM with prayer service at 5:00 PM at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd. , Valparaiso. Memorial donations may be made to Cooks Corners Elementary School Art Department or Ronald McDonald House of Great Chicago, 845 E. 57th St., Chicago, IL 60637. moellerfuneralhome.com

Had to let you know again how very sad I feel at Madi's passing. Never had the pleasure of meeting her, but thru Sherri sharing stories about the girls, I felt I knew her.

May God hold your hand through this time of need. I to have lose someone whom was the dearest to me and I have found comfort in the fact that the warmth of her presence surrounds and comforts me and that it is ok to cry. It is the best way to express yourself but, even if you cry remember to laugh because it is good medcine for the heart.
