Pearl Ann Dodd-Wright

1947 - 2023

Pearl Ann Dodd-Wright was born on Sept 6,1947 to the late George and Nettie Dodd of Gary, Indiana. Pearl gained her heavenly wings on March 11, 2023. Pearl had a kind and gentle spirit always willing to offer a helping hand. She was the eldest of her 3 siblings whom she loved. Pearl was gifted with an angelic voice to sing and used her voice in the church choir, talent shows and the gospel recording group The Interns. Pearl graduated from Gary Roosevelt High School class of 1965 and worked for over 20 years at Methodist Hospital Northlake campus where she provided compassionate care. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a "true gem" to all that knew her. Pearl is preceded in death by her parents, George and Nettie Dodd, Sisters, Dorothy Dodd-Spann (Frank), Ramona Dodd-Lyle, and nephew Germaine Dodd. She is survived by her Husband, Eddie Lee Wright, Daughter,TiaJuan (LaDarryl) Woods, Sons Aaron and Antonio Wright, brother, George (Deanie) Dodd Jr, Sister, Patricia (Curtis) Lee, Grandchildren; LaDarryl (Ace) Woods and Taylor Woods, Nieces, Tamala Turner, Monique Harbin, and Nephew Frederick (Michelle) Lee. Great nephew, Cameron Grundy and great niece Amaya Rogers. Along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends Ruth Bonner, Mattie Boyd, Lucille Rollins and Iretha White. Celebration of life will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, Faith Temple of Christ 7601 Whitcomb St. Merrillville, IN. 46410. Visitation: 9-11am. Celebration Service: 11am, Celebration Color: Purple.
