To Laura and the Gilliam Family,

I have known Rich since our days at the Velt! We have fought fires shoulder to shoulder at numerous fire and rescue scenes. Rich set the bar in firefighting, he was on of Gary's finest! However, more importantly Rich was a man of God; full of integrity and was admired by many. And furthermore, he was my friend! Rest in peace my brother, your work here is done.

Laura, may the Lord bless you and your family, and keep you in his bosom forevermore, Amen.

Richard was like my brother, in the Lord. He was special as well as his wife Laura. when we moved here 16 years ago across the street. he came over and put my air conditioner in and put my drapes up. the wood is still there. he has helped me in so many various ways. He has helped me in various ways, even from his own resources. he gave to keep our family warm in the winter. and helped with our water at one time. gave vegetables out at the little market building on Broadway street. Always made sure and welcomed me at church and at different events. little dinners. Checked on me one in a while since I was older than he. walked across the street to make sure I did not fall from church. He was just sooooo special and will always hold a place in my heart, as well as Laura. I am just glad that I never refused a Godly hug from a hug from a True and honest man with high integrity for God. who he loved very much. Love you Richard and Laura. you are special in my hears. MY tears will not stop much. who sill take his place? No one can. He is one of a kind.
