Stephen Titko Obituary

STEPHEN M. TITKO Age 83 of Hobart, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2005. He was a retired Navy veteran assigned with the Marines during World War II as a Corpsman throughout the Pacific Campaign. He served at Pearl Harbor during the December 7th attack. He walked through Nagasaki three weeks after the bombs fell. He also served with the Marines throughout the Korean Conflict. Stephen was a retired employee from Inland Steel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan L. Titko and granddaughter Nancy Ciesla. He is survived by his son, Rev. Stephen J. Titko; daughter Peggy (Jim) Ciesla of Hobart; 4 grandchildren, Debbie (Mark) Spence of Hobart, Jim (Vanessa) Ciesla of CO, and Paul and Patty Ciesla of Hobart; 5 great grandchildren, Andrea, Mark and Hannah Spence of Hobart, and Ethan and Luke Ciesla of CO. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 10 a.m., Directly at St. John the Evangelist Church, 11301 W. 93rd. Ave., St. John. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Portage. Friends are invited to meet with the family at Burns Funeral Home, 701 E. 7th. St. Hobart on Friday from 2-8 p.m. A prayer service will be held on Friday at 7 p.m.
