Thomas Albrecht Obituary

THOMAS J. ALBRECHT Thomas J. Albrecht, age 47, of Hammond, Indiana, died unexpectedly early Tuesday afternoon, July 8, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Albrecht was born on November 4, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to Earl W. and Phyllis A. (Loar) Albrecht. Survivors include his loving step-mother, Marjorie Albrecht of Gamaliel, Arkansas; his loving daughter and son, Kelly S. and Billy S. Maas, both of Hammond, Indiana. Also surviving is his loving sister, Jennifer A. Albrecht of Orland Park, Illinois and his loving brothers, David M. Albrecht also of Orland Park, Illinois, Jeffery E. (Suzanne) Albrecht of Woodstock, Illinois and Steven W. (Frances) Albrecht of Highland, Indiana and his grandson, JaKory. He will be deeply missed by his loving friend of eight years, Luanne Bowens and her daughters, Nakia and Rikki and his nieces and nephews, Mark, Brandi, Tim, Justin, Sarah, Jordyn and Bradley. Also his great-niece and nephew, Tiffany and Joshua. Preceding him in death is his beloved mother and father, Phyllis A. Albrecht who died in November of 1976 and Earl W. Albrecht who died in March of 2001. Mr. Albrect was a millwright mechanic for nearly 30 years with Inland Steel and was a Roman Catholic. He also recently became umpire for the National Softball Association. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 12, 2003 from 3 to 7 p.m. with funeral services to be offered in celebration of the life of Mr. Albrecht at 7 o'clock p.m. in the Ridgelawn Funeral Home Chapel, 4201 West Ridge Road, (219) 980-5555 with the Reverend Ronald D. Cooper, officiating. At the family's request, there will be private interment services. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mr. Albrecht to Alcoholics Anonymous. Tom will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted family and friends. May God Grant Him Eternal Rest.
