Bill was the best and funniest roommate I had during my 4 years at Ball State. I'll never forget coming into our room to the music of Aretha Franklin blasting and Bill on his bed kicking his feet in the air and screaming "Aretha, Aretha." I regret we lost touch but I had no doubt he would leave his mark on the world. Rest in His arms my friend.

Mr. Reese or as we affectionately called him, "Daddy Reese" was such a loving, caring and kind man. He went above and beyond just being an administrator. Daddy Reese helped youths that didn't have a loving home dynamics.
Thank you for all that you did - you made me feel appreciated.

Sadly, I just learned of Bill's passing yesterday. Bill was my roommate at Ball State my sophomore and junior years. I still have many funny memories of our time. After thinking about Bill so much over the years, I finally sent Bill a letter last year but did not get a reply. I wish I had not taken so long to reach out. I had news that I know he would have rejoiced over. My and Marcia's prayers of support to Bill's loved ones.

I just found out yesterday of "Daddy Reese" passing. I had the honor of being called one of his high school daughters. His door was always open and cared about his kids and wanted all to achieve success both in and out of school. He was a shining example on how to care for one another. He will be truly missed. We are so very glad to know that the flowers we sent in our absence were a blessing to the family, in honor of my husband's fraternity brother Bill. Bill was one of the FIRST people I was introduced to when my husband, Mr. Kenneth "Prince" Reed gave me his Omega Psi Phi Fraternity pin in 1974. To know that Bill, my husband Kenny, Donnie Moore, Roger Ruth & Michael Chisley (Mike did get a chance to attend the homegoing) were as close as real brothers was very special. I'm honored to be married not into just the Reed family for over 37 years, but into the "Omega family" for over 38 by my association with "The Inauguaral Brothers of the founding chapter of Omega Psi Phi at Ball State University--WAY back in the day." We appreciate having the priviledge of knowing Bill Reese who touched SO many lives. May God bless you with much spiritual prosperity and healing of the sadness...keep Bill's smile contagious. He was so special to so many.

Benetta, Just a note to say that Mr. Reese was good person and he will be missed. He was an adminstrator at Tolleston when my son attended and he was so very kind and helped him in his struggle with growing up. Middle school is a hard time for children but Mr Reese was patient, understanding, firm but fair. His dedication to the students will be remembered. I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

The accolades that I've read in the Guest Book are an indication of the type of man and Child of God he was. As a fellow administrator, I always looked at Mr Reese as one of my positive mentors. He personified what all of us administrators strive to achieve - an effective school leader and a strong role model to "our children". Mr. Reese now sits at the Right Hand of the Throne of Grace because he has been a good and faithful servant that only God says "Well Done My Child, Well Done".

To My EOC Sister Benetta and Reese Family, Earth has lost a Mighty Man For God's Kingdom whom had "A Heart For God's Children"!! I had the honor of knowing Brother Reese both as an educator and as my EOC Brother In Christ. While "serving" as an administrator at Lew Wallace High School Brother Reese had a direct impact on my daughter- Cherese, then as an administrator at Roosevelt High School he went that extra mile needed by my son- Michael A. and as a fellow Pulaski Middle School co-worker of my daughter- Colette's mother, Brother Reese always kept up with Colette's progress throughout the years. Infact, Each time we talked he would ask about my children individually by name. Yes, Brother Reese posessed "A Christ Like Heart"!! A Job Well Done... By A Good and Faithfull Servant!!

In later years, I recall his dedication as principal of Roosevelt High School.
