Clifford Faucher Obituary

Faucher, Clifford J.

Clifford James Faucher, age 80, New London, died on Sunday, June 15, 2014, following a lengthy illness. Clifford was born on April 3, 1934, in Marshfield son of the late Clifford and Frances "Todd" (Welch) Faucher. On June 10, 1953, he married Nancy Starks. She preceded him in death in 1995. Clifford was a devoted family man. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Simmons Juvenile Products for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed building things out of wood.

He is survived by 5 daughters: Theresa Sockett, Kimberly; Laura Gorges, New London; Marjorie (Chris) Coonen, Menasha; Karen (Alan) Steinberg, New London; Colleen Faucher, Hurley; 5 sons: Tom (Kay) Faucher, New London; Bill Faucher, Menasha; Larry (Mary) Faucher, New London, Cliff Faucher, Arkansas and Dave (Lynn) Faucher, New London; 2 brothers, Ronald Faucher and Jerry (Eileen) Faucher, both of Marshfield and a sister, Bonnie (Glen) Fischer, Cecil. Cliff is further survived by 51 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, Billy, Sister Mary Ann, 2 sister in-laws, Pat Faucher and Marge (Vern) Schirpke and a brother in-law, Don Starks.

Funeral Mass for Clifford will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. Joseph Irudamoney officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. and also at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

The thing I will remember most about Uncle Cliff is the twinkle in his eye, and how when he said "there's susie" - which is what he said everytime I saw him, I couldn't help but smile! May he rest in peace.
