David DesRoberts Obituary
David "Dave" William DesRoberts, age 58, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 9, 2017, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI, following complications from a heart transplant. Dave was surrounded by his family.
He was born in Seattle, WA, on January 31st, 1959, the son of the late Bernard H. and Bernadette (Emond) DesRoberts. Dave was a 1977 graduate of Cony High School in Augusta, ME, and attended Thomas College in Waterville.
Dave was in the trucking industry most of his life, beginning as an owner/operator truck driver. He later worked for Allens Transfer in Augusta as a dispatcher and was transferred to Appleton, WI as a Terminal Manager. During the last 10 years of his career, he was employed as a Logistics Manager for Ryder Integrated Logistics located at Appleton Supply. He loved his job and truly cared about the employees working for him.
Dave was an amazing man and his family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers on TV and hosted many "Packer Parties" with his family and friends, mowing the lawn with his zero turn lawnmower, and barbecuing Brats on the grill. Dave also enjoyed working as a part-time disc jockey at local radio stations when he resided in Maine. Dave belonged to the Appleton Alliance Church family and had served in the Worship Arts Ministry. Despite not feeling well, he never complained and always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by his wife, Chauntey DesRoberts; a son, David DesRoberts of Appleton; a daughter, Nicole (Carson) DesRoberts of Seattle, WA; a daughter Lacey (Steve) Schumacher of Appleton; grandchildren Clark and Quinn; and a sister, Marie (Roland) Bilodeau, of Fort Myers, FL.
We would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and gifts during our time of need. Your generosity really meant a lot. Additionally, we would like to thank the numerous doctors, nurses and technicians at Froedtert Hospital who took wonderful care of Dave during the past few years. The Staff at Froedtert Hospital will always be part of our extended family.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at APPLETON ALLIANCE CHURCH, 2693 W. Grand Chute Blvd, Appleton, with Pastor Dennis Episcopo officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Froedtert Hospital Foundation (9200 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53226). Sorry for such a late acknowledgement but we just learned of Dave's passing. Our condolences to Dave's wife and family. My husband and I both graduated with Dave in 1977. I always thought he was such a sweet and caring man. It's obvious from his obituary that he was indeed a very caring person and brought happiness to many. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

I'm so sorry to hear about your lost.. I just know heaven is a better place knowing his presnce.. David touch so many lives as I remember when we were both very young.. Thinking around 12 years of age.. As I was just a few years older... My first cousin.. Your family has an amazing guardian angel as his love for family and life will always be!!

I have met many families working in the ICU's at Froedtert, but your family was just special to me. I thought of Dave and you even on days when I wasn't working.
