Deborah "Debi" Grunwald

New London - Deborah R. Grunwald, age 69, of New London, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was born on September 26, 1951 in Neenah, WI. Preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Lois (Seager) Basler (and step-father Russell Kemps). Debbie is survived by her husband of twenty three years; Bob, three children: Tiffini (Mike) Mueller, Melissa (Nate) Norton and Amanda (Kyle) Herbst and four step-children: April Cumber, Jennifer (Shawn) Rickert, Phillip Grunwald and Becky (Significant other, Brenden) Grunwald. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren: Derrick Mueller, Daniele Lutz, Jillian Riemer, Taylor Boardman, Kaden and Kaleb Herbst, Ethan and Amelia Norton, William Fiestauser, Alex and Savannah Rickert, Chad and Mackenzie Grunwald and one very special great-granddaughter Layla Jo Gilbertson. She's further survived by one half-sister and three half -brothers, one brother-in-law and two sister-in-laws and her first husband, the father of her children; Ronald Lutz. She is further survived by many other family members (her dear Roger) and friends (two very dear friends: Susie Freitag and Julie Young). She was preceded in death by two grandsons, Daniel Grunwald and Joseph Fiestauser. moving away from the farm she enjoyed hearing the whistles from her beloved birds, spending time tending to her plants and flowers as well as many walks within her circle, but none more than her trips to Merrill to visit Julie. She will be sorely missed by those closest to her. Her family would like to extend a very special thank you to Pastor Paul Ibisch for his home visits and to ThedaCare Hospice for their exceptional care. A Celebration of Life will be privately held by immediate family at a later date.

My deepest sympathy to Deb's family & friends. I thank you ma for birthing my best friend. I hope my dad was at the gates to welcome you home. I'm so sad that you're gone but glad you're not suffering anymore. Rest in paradise my love. You will be greatly missed by many. Over 30 years we were neighbors in Milwaukee & Manda & I have been friends every since. We love you!!!!!
