Duane Bork Obituary

Duane R. Bork

Neenah - Duane R. Bork, age 88, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 18, 2018. Duane was born on December 7, 1929 to the late Albert and Ella Bork and resided in Neenah. He married Carol Langner on June 6, 1953 and were blessed with 64 years together. Duane proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force after high school, and he went on to work for many years at the former Manhattan Rubber in Neenah.

Duane was truly a one of a kind. He had the patience of a saint and was always present for his family throughout his life. Duane loved playing cards, golfing, bowling, and spending time with his family and grand-puppies. He also loved the Green Bay Packers and teams from his son's alma mater, the Wisconsin Badgers. He loved his family unconditionally. He enjoyed working with his hands and could fix anything. Over the years, he had made many things for his family that will be treasured forever. He was the best husband and father created. God broke the mold after making Duane.

He is survived by his wife Carol Bork; children: Brenda (Tim) Menning and Steve Bork; siblings: Frank (Darlene) Bork, Nancy Roblee, Lona (John) Schroll, and Sally (Roy) Van Epern; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Donald (Judy) Langner, John (Carolyn) Langner, Alanna Langner, and James (Kate) Langner. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Geneva (Orrin) Olson, Carleton (Helen) Bork, Harley (Marion) Bork, Donald (Marion) Bork, Kenneth (Marjorie) Bork, and Christine Suchoski; sister-in-law Sharon Langner; and brother-in-law Larry Langner; and his mother and father in-law, Herbert and Mary Langner, who have a card table ready for him.

A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.

Dear Carol, Brenda and Steve,
We send our heartfelt condolences to all of you. Reading Duane's obituary there was so much about him we didn't know. What a guy. We knew he loved golf, and his sense of humor and smile said it all.
It was always fun for the cousin's and Langner reunions. Wish you were al closer and we could have done it more often. Love and prayers go out for all your family. Susie & Ralph Wehnes
