James Uher Obituary
James Richard Uher, 76, of Appleton Wisconsin, passed away on January 4th, 2021 in Peoria, Arizona. He was born on November 10th, 1944 to the late James and Bess (Polach) Uher in Chicago, IL. James spent his early years in Chicago and on a farm in central Wisconsin. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corp and is a veteran of the Vietnam war. On July 14th, 1973 he married Caroljean (CJ) Sorensen in Chicago, IL. He spent his career as an airline pilot with Air Wisconsin where he also retired. Jim enjoyed retired life traveling with CJ, skeet shooting, recreational flying, and receiving technical assistance from his sons.
Jim is survived by his loving spouse of 47 years CJ; 4 children, Chad (Beth) Uher of Neenah, WI; Kim (Michael) Kilber of Brookings, SD; James (Beth) Uher of Sherwood, WI; and Dana (Rich) Ellis of New Hope, MN; 1 sibling, Patricia Kern of Palos Hills, IL; 9 grandchildren, Mandy (Cody) Doren, Kaden Kilber, Maggie Kilber, Mikaylah Kilber, Kingston Kilber, Amanda Graham, Jack Graham, Madison Uher and Taylor Uher; and many other loving family members and friends.
He will be inurned at the Arlington National Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life at a future date in Appleton, WI. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's honor may be made to Fischer House, Toys for Tots or any of the fine military and veteran charitable organizations personal to you.
