Jean Arneson Obituary

Arneson, Jean L.

Jean L. Arneson, age 84, of Clintonville, WI passed away from cancer Monday, June 8, 2015 at Pine Manor Health and Rehabilitation Center with her family at her side.

Jean Lois Arneson was born July 3, 1930 in the Town of Bovina, Outagamie County, the daughter of the late William and Merina (Klika) Conradt. Jean graduated from Shiocton High School in 1948 and went on to attend Business College in Appleton, WI. In 1951 she was united in marriage to William John Arneson, son of William and Emma Arneson, Clintonville, WI. They were blessed with three children; Debra Jean in 1953, William Kurt in 1955, and Tamara Jean in 1969. Although Jean is best known for her 17 years operating the Dairy Queen in Clintonville, she worked all of the family businesses including the Christmas tree business and Clintonville School-Way, the local school bus business. An avid skier, golfer and gardener, she enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Bill, and many friends. Living on Main Street for over 50 years, the entire town enjoyed her flowers in the summer and her light display throughout the holidays.

She will be deeply missed by her surviving family members who include: two daughters, Debra (Tim) Nolan, Marion, Tamara (Dennis) Arneson-Chavez, Los Lunas, NM, and one son William (Alice) Arneson, Clintonville, seven grandchildren: Tara, Kelly, Jessica, Holly, Tracy, Brittany, and Bryce; six great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Bryana, Reagan, William, Hazel, and Leela. She is further survived by two brothers: Clifford (Lorraine) Conradt and William (Betty) Conradt both of Shiocton; one sister-in-law: Nancy (Lyle) Johnson; and two brother-in-laws: Jerry Arneson and Tom McClone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; her twin sister, Joyce, and numerous beloved family members.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, June 15, 2015 at Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville will the Rev. Ben Hollingsead officiating. Interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville.

Friends may call at the church on Monday from 9 AM until the time of the service.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, Pine Manor, and Dr. Cynthia Egan for all of the loving care given to Jean in her final days.
