John W. Thomas

John W. Thomas, age 52, of Neenah, died suddenly on Wednesday August 19, 2015. He was born on October 6, 1962 in Oshkosh a son of Myron and Donna Jones Thomas. In 1985 he married Carol Wirkes,and together they had two children. In October 2009 he married Rebecca Spangenberg and together they had one child.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Neenah. He was very handy and enjoyed collecting things that he was always going to "fix". He was extremely proud of all three of his children.

He is survived by his wife Becky, two sons Matthew(girlfriend Megan Bruggink) Thomas, Ian Thomas, one daughter Megan Thomas, his mother Donna Thomas, his siblings Sam Thomas, Donna Jean(Gary) Bucholtz, Dan(Vicki) Thomas, David(Teresa) Thomas, a granddaughter Lilahann Grover, nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his father Myron, a brother Bill, and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday August 24, 2015 at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF NEENAH (108 W. DOTY AVE.) at 11 a.m.

Visitation will be on Sunday August 23, 2015 from 3-8 p.m. at WESLEY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN OSHKOSH(761 FLORIDA AVE.) and on Monday at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF NEENAH from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will take place at Zoar Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to benefit John's children and their future education.
