I am so sorry to have found out the news today of the tragic news. I worked with Joe when he worked at a restaurant in downtown Neenah. I ran into him a few years ago and as always he was a great guy and had a smile on his face. Another great one taken from us too early

Kindness and professionalism...just two of the traits that describe this man that I barely knew. As an LPN at ThedaClark, I mostly saw Joe in passing as he brought patients to our floor from ER. He'd always greet us with a friendly smile and a kind "hello". It wasn't until my wife and I brought our daughter to the ER that I realized how calm and compassionate he was in the moment. Our daughter has an excruciating fear of needles and the thought of an IV had her in a physical meltdown...Joe's patience, reassurance, composure and steady hands were simply admirable. My deepest sympathies go out to Joe's family, friends, co-workers and the patients he cared for. May those he taught and cared for continue his kindness and compassion

One of my favorite authors is Kahlil Gabran; he once wrote appropriately, "Love knows not its depth till the hour of separation." For the past 10 years, Joe has been a large part of my joy in life. His unselfish, generous care of others and his smiling way was nothing short of inspirational. He brought happiness to every occasion I had the pleasure to share with him. Not many of us could say that we used our gifts well, but Joe certainly did. Memories of every bear hug and every smile shared between us will linger forever. Joe, I hope you realized in life how much you were loved by all, especially by my boys, my family, and me. You will forever be loved deeply and mourned even deeper. My heart breaks for your family; perhaps knowing that you are among Angels will bring a grain of comfort. Until our next embrace...

I remember many days playing in Washington park and at Joe's house which was right next to the park. I think he had every dinosaur figurine ever made. R.I.P. Joe. Peace to you and your family.

We have been heartbroken by the news of losing Joe. We love him like he was part of our family. We looked forward to seeing him every trip home to Green Bay. The trips will have a little void now. I am thankful we were blessed with knowing Joe all these years. He had such a big heart -alwaya there for my sister Jean and my Mom and Dad. Joe just has more he needs to do now on the other side. Joe-until we meet again. You are sadly missed. Condolences to his family, co-workers, friends...

Joe was ThedaCare Neenah's ED Rockstar! He was the most humblest, kind, energetic, positive, and helpful person I have ever worked with. He taught us all how to be the best caregivers. He can never be replaced! RIP our dear friend. We will remember you and your amazing contributions always!!! So sad, Pam Witt-Hillen

I am deeply saddened to hear of Joe's passing. I got to know him in our neighborhood when he was with Scott. Joe was always gracious and kind and willing to help anyone at any time. Amy's husband will be there to great him as he crosses over to our Savior. Hugs Joe

I am so very sad by the loss of this amazing man.
Joe, Joey - I have spent all week reliving our grade school through adult memories; the stories I could tell. I can't thank you enough for caring for me and being such a shining light in my life; whether we were 10 or 23 or 40, you always made me happy, always made me smile, and did everything in your power to make me laugh - even in the TC ER. Although I haven't had the honor of having you in my life for some time, I am missing you. Be at peace now...
To Joe's family, Scott, friends and work family - I am sincerely sorry for loss. May your memories bring smiles, happy tears and joy to your hearts.
My dear Michelle - you know your Uncle Joe is always with you. Sending you so much love!

Joe was one of the most special people I met in EMS. He was one of my preceptor at Waupaca Area Ambulance many years ago. One of the finest, kindest and compassionate person I ever met. For those of us who knew Joe, our world will be a little darker with his light gone too soon. Rest in peace my dear friend.

I worked with Joe at TC ER. He was always quick to smile and so good with the patients he cared for. He was an amazing teacher and happy to help where he could. We bonded over the town where we both grew up and our love of dogs and the outdoors. The world is a little less bright without him. He will be greatly missed by all.

Joe
This is every hard for me. He was always in picture of life as I grow up. I saw him in the ER in march, he said he saw I was coming and just said HI. I know that is all he could do. But that face at 3:00 am let me know that not far from was a friend-brother. That means more then words, I needed that look to help me through what was happening to me. I felt that someone had my BACK if something changed.
I am so sorry for the lost that I know you are going through. My prays will always be with you all. Dave M

I was real happy to get to know Joe over the last couple years. He was an awesome guy that would help anybody with anything. I had the best time of my life when I went on vacation a few years ago with Joe and Scott down to Florida. And it was always a great time up north with Jo and Scott. I couldnt ask for better neighbors. Joe will be greatly missed. He touched a lot of lives. Even my dogs loved going over to see uncle Joe.
I love you Joe. Rest in peace my friend.

He was a great guy, smart, fun, kind, caring and could be full of the devil at times, lol. It was an honor and a privilege to work side by side with him. on a call. This was a great guy who was taken from this world way to soon. RIP Joe, your passing has left a whole in many hearts. Maggs

Shocked to hear that Joe died. I worked with him as Paramedic at Waupaca Area Ambulance. I always thought he was a pretty neat guy, very smart. The last time I saw Joe he was teaching my ACLS recert. We had a good time, he asked me if I would go first and "put me through the ringer" so to speak. Not a problem, we blew everyone's mind, of course he told them we used to work together and this stuff was drilled into our heads. He was always kind, caring and guaranteed a good laugh at times. Please accept my deepest sympathy, this was a man taken way to soon. I remember when he applied at TC and I talked to him and he asked if he could use me for a reference, of course! They called and I did give him a great reference which wasn't hard to do. I often thought of him, now that I am retired and would hear a tidbit every now and then about my past coworkers. RIP Joe, it was an honor and a privilege to work side by side with you on call. Maggs
