Joy Stoeger Obituary

Stoeger, Joy Marie

Joy Marie Stoeger, age 53, of Appleton, died Friday, August 17, 2012 suddenly at her home. Joy was born July 14, 1959 in Appleton to the late Herbert and Ruth (Ziesemer) Stoeger. She attended Johnston Elementary School, James Madison Junior High School then moved to Chilton where she continued her education. Joy worked and helped manage the family businesses for 28 years. She was a very talented and creative person who loved art - especially drawing and calligraphy. Joy also enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing - her specialty being large, fully dressed teddy bears. She was a collector of unique jewelry and colorful Carnival glassware. Joy was an avid reader and researcher in alternative health products and techniques. She was a mentor also to many in her family.

She is survived by her sister, Ann (Jerry) Lintner, Chilton; 4 brothers: Tim and Mark Stoeger of Chilton, and Eric and Jim Stoeger of Appleton; her niece, Jamie (Reed) Beyer and their children Emma, Trent, and Kayden, New Holstein; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends Lillian and Daniel Lammers, Black Creek.

Per Joy's wishes, private family services will be held.

I am…

I am here

I am there

I am everywhere around you

In the sunshine that warms you

In the wind that blows around you

In the rain that washes away your pain

In the rainbow that says everything's okay

I am here

I am now

I am forever

Keep me in your soul as I do you

A loving hug, a thoughtful gesture

My world is not your world now, but the love doesn't die

It changes its form before our eyes

Soon we will be for all eternity

I am in you, you are in me.

Ann, Tim, Mark, Eric, and Jim:

I did not know Joy, but my sincerest sympathy to all of you at this time. I, too, am a Stoeger decendant. Joseph Stoeger and his wife Anna (both born about 1800 in Bavaria) were my great-great-great-great grandparents. Joseph and Anna, to my knowledge, didn't have any sons, so perhaps Joy's great grandfather Louis (born 1863 in Germany) was a nephew or some similar relation to Joseph. In Romans 8:28, the Bible says "all things work for the good of those that love and serve God and are called according to His purpose". Perhaps my seeing Joy's obituary is for the purpose of reconnecting with distant family. If you're ever interested in trying to find the connection between our Stoeger families, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In Christ,

Nancy Kucksdorf

My heart goes out to your family. I'm sorry for your lost of a love one. Joy was a great and kind person to know. I wish that we stayed in touch after high school. She was buddy and friend in our small special group that hung together in high school. She is going to be missed.

Love you Joy! Friends Forever!
