Uncle Frank, Dan, Steve, Gerry, Lois & Sarah and all of your families
I was deeply saddened to learn of Aunt Judy's passing. Having missed seeing her and the rest of you last week (and that I won't be able to attend the funeral)due to my own personal medical crisis makes my heart all the more heavy.
Judy was one of those entirely special people who truly improved the lives of everyone she met. She was most certainly one of the most giving, intelligent, caring and thoughtful people that I have met in my lifetime.
I'll be thinking and praying for all of you tomorrow as you gather to celebrate Judy's life. You are all a testament and living legacy to her love.
I fear not for Judy, as I have no doubt in my mind that she is in paradise. The challenge that remains is for the rest of us who will miss her love, wisdom and sense of humor! Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayrs

Uncle Frank, Dan, Steve, Jerry, Lois, and Sarah,
My memories of our younger days seem like they just occurred yesterday...times at the farm that we always looked forward to so much. I know that my brother John has been smiling a lot the last few days, because his "favorite aunt" has joined him in heaven. Your mom had a special place in John's heart because she was such a good sport with his twisted sense of humor. She made us all feel right at home on the farm even though it was worlds away from our daily suburban life.
My mom has shared many stories of Aunt Judy as a child, a teenager, and as a young wife. She was a remarkable person who lived a life many of us don't have the strength to follow. A life of faith, selflessness, love, and purpose. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that she has made a difference to many and will continue to have a presence in those who were fortunate to know her.

Thome Family-
Jamie, Georgia and I send our heartfelt condolences at Aunt Judy's passing. Before I sat down to write this, I spent a few minutes reflecting on Aunt Judy, and the same two themes were central to each memory: Family and faith. Aunt Judy loved her family without condition or pretext, and intertwined with that love was her faith, which to call rock solid is the understatement of the year. Based on my experiences with my Mother's faith, I've decided we could all do worse than go back in time and spend some time in Julia and Joe Heuring's house to learn a thing or two. Whatever the method was, the results certainly speak for themselves.
Love and faith each have their price, and certainly, you had to earn it, or at least try very hard to earn both with Aunt Judy. As a youngster, I was always intimidated by Aunt Judy because I knew she had high expectations, and would remind me, in a polite but stern fashion if I didn't live up to those expectations. Each of us has people in our lives that make us stand up a little straighter, be a little more attentive than what we would normally be, and Aunt Judy was one of those people to me. I'm a better person for it. I will miss my Aunt, but I take solace in the fact that she is with the Lord and the fact that her memory lives on in so many.
I am sorry that I cannot be with you tomorrow, but please know that my heart is with you.

To Francis and the Thome Family,
Judy's smile would light up any person anytime of the day. She was a great assett to the St. Ann Parish. I grew up here as a child and teenager with our family and Judy was a huge part of the St. Ann community - Thanks for your smiles and great memories, Judy!
