Plamann, Kenneth O.

Kenneth O. Plamann, age 86, of Appleton, passed away at Cherry Meadows in Appleton, on Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Ken was born on April 7, 1930, in Appleton, to the late William and Rose Plamann. He married Gwendolyn Testin on May 26, 1951, in the Town of Freedom; she preceded him in death on September 8, 2008. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a well-known, self-employed contractor. Ken loved science. He also held multiple patents from his scientific studies. Ken was loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was also a long time member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, in the Town of Freedom.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Pam) Plamann, William (Karen) Plamann, Thomas (Pamela) Plamann, Stephen (Jane) Plamann, and Cynthia (Rick) Loewen; his sister, Bets (Bob) Mathison; his brothers-in-law, LeRoy Huebner and Doc Young; his sisters-in-law, Joyce Plamann and Elaine Plamann; his grandchildren, Kara (Dan) Wagoner; Megan Plamann and her son Adler; Megan Tobin (Dan Jenkin) and her children, Sophia, Kyla and Easton; Brett Tobin (Lindsay Swanson); Taylor Tobin; Melissa (Ryan) Williams, and their son Charlie; Lee Plamann (fiancé Samantha Simonson); Timothy (Christine) Plamann, and their children, Malachi and Chloe; Julian Plamann; Michelle (Scott) Meyer and her children Sophie Meyer and Dom (Amber) Meyer and their daughter Kylie; Andrea (Kevin) Vodicka, and their daughter Natalie; Jessica (Andrew) Hose, and their children Gavin, Elijah, Dominick and Ruby; Rachel (Matthew) Spang, and their children, Ryder and Jaden; Jason Plamann; Amanda (Eric) Tilderquist, and their children, Max, Maggie, Hank and Jack; Samantha (John) Bialozynski; and Cassandra (Joseph) Jennings, and her daughters, LaRaya and Lamonte. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Bud Plamann, and his sisters Grace Young and Dorothy (Aldebert) Geiger; his sister-in-law Marilyn Huebner and his brother-in-law, Wayne (Betty) Winters.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 28, 2016, at ST. PETER EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N2740 French Road, Freedom, with Pastor Jim Fleming. Interment will be in Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom. Friends may call directly at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services. A memorial has been established in Ken's name to benefit St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church.
