Kolasinski, Lorraine L. "Toots"

Lorraine L. "Toots" Kolasinski, age 82, passed away on Monday morning, November 5, 2012, at St. Paul Villa in Kaukauna. On December 31, 1929, Lorraine Louise was born one of 16 children to the late Harvey Dumke and Alvina Weiner. Toots was united in marriage to George B. Kolasinski on August 20, 1949 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha; he preceded her in death on May 26, 1996. Dancing, playing cards, and going to the casino were some the hobbies Toots enjoyed. She also had a love for cooking and baking. She enjoyed all people and animals, loved her family get-togethers, and her most treasured visits to Montana.

Toots will be missed by her children: Ben (Anne) Kolasinski, Janet (Jerry) Jakubek, Steve (Sue) Kolasinski, Georgian (Greg "Hondo") Zielinski, Julie (Steve) Stilp; grandchildren: Craig (Michelle), Jeff (Amy), Brian (Kelly), Kristy (Jesus), Connie, David (Jami), Teri (Mike), Lisa (Chris), Jenny (Doug), Chris, Holly, Becca, Lucas, Jonathan, JJ, Kevin, and Nick; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ellen Laknar, and JoAnne Amundson, both of Dillon MT; a brother, Jack (Lois) Dumke, GA; sister-in-law, Barb Dumke, Oshkosh; and a brother-in-law, Merrill Davis, Omro.

She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah; a grandson, Mark; three sisters; nine brothers; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery, Town of Menasha. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at St. Paul Villa and to Birch Place for all of the love and kindness given to Toots and the family.

So sorry to hear of Toots' passing. I used to work at St. Paul Elder Services and i remember whenever i walked through the Villa she always had a funny comment that made me laugh and was so spunky! George, i had no idea she was your mother...what a small world it is. I'm sure she will be missed by all the Villa residents and her family. You have my deepest sympathy.
