Mary Strebe Obituary

Strebe, Mary Jane

Mary Jane Strebe, 71, Symco, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at New London Family Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 11, 1940, in the Town of DuPont, Waupaca County, daughter of the late Bennie and Gertrude (Heiman) Arndt. On May 22, 1965, she was united in marriage to Verlyn "Moose" Strebe at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Town of DuPont. Mary Jane worked at Hanson Glove in Clintonville for many years, and then worked for Noritage Company in Embarrass for 34 years. She enjoyed woodworking and crafts. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Verlyn; her special friend and partner, Susie the Beagle; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her parents and a brother and sister-in-law Eldor (Diane) Arndt preceded her in death.

A memorial service for Mary Jane will be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Manawa with Rev. Tom Theama officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Donations should be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
