Phyllis Dent Obituary
Phyllis J. Dent, age 85 of New London, died on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at St. Joseph Residence, New London.
Phyllis was born on December 9, 1928 in New London, the daughter of John and Irene (Myers) Eggert. On June 2, 1951, she married Donald K. Dent in New London. He preceded her in death on July 26, 2012.
Phyllis was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and very active in the Ladies Aid. She also was an active member of the VFW Auxillary.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sandi (Les) Korth, The Woodlands, Texas; son, Ron Dent, New London; three grandchildren, Kasey and Brianne Korth, and Devin Dent; brother-in-law, Toby (Pam) Dent; sister-in-law, Judy (Gary) Heise; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and brothers and sisters.
A funeral service for Phyllis will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London, with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Family and friends may call directly at church Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
