Rojene Collar Obituary
Shiocton - Rojene R. Collar age 87 of Shiocton, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton surrounded by her sons. Rojene was born on March 18, 1934, in Appleton to the late Marshall and Luella (Anthony) Bricco. She married the love of her life Russell (Chink) Collar on April 15, 1953. Together they raised four sons who enjoyed hunting and fishing together as a family. Rojene was best known for her ability to clean and scale every fish imaginable that her husband and sons brought home. She enjoyed crocheting afghans for her family and friends and going to the casino to play bingo with Chink.
She is survived by her sons, Grant (Lynn) Collar; Shiocton, Bradley Collar; Shiocton, Larry (Jody) Collar; New London, Jonathan Collar; Winchester; grandchildren Ashley (Nick) Landskron, Scott (Riann) Collar, Adam and Craig Collar, Alissa Collar, Mitchell (Erin) Collar; great-grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Owen Landskron, and Sully Collar. Rojene is further survived by sisters Roseann (Ken) Hildebrand, Darlene Muthig, sister-in-law Betty Collar and many nieces and nephews.
Rojene was preceded in death by her husband Russell, parents, Marshall and Luella Bricco, mother and father-in-law Lucius and Esther (Thompson) Collar, daughter-in-law Lisa Collar, brother-in-laws, Robert Muthig, Charles, Junior, Gorden, Gene, Herman, Jerry and John Collar, sister-in-law Hazel (Collar) Hoskins.
Funeral service for Rojene will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Shiocton. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Please wear a mask and observe social distancing. Burial will be in the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Town of Bovina.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton, Hospice, Shiocton-Bovina EMTs, and all of the neighbors and friends who helped and prayed for Rojene during her illness.
