Roy G. Boyle

Roy George Boyle, age 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at his home in Appleton. Roy was born on October 22, 1925 in the Town of Grand Chute, son of the late Anton and Elizabeth (Laux) Boyle. On October 16, 1943, Roy was married to Eleanor Dresang in Mackville. Prior to working with Appleton Mills, he owned and operated Roy's Radio & TV for about 25 years. He retired from Appleton Mills as a dryer operator in 1987. Roy was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to country music, and playing the guitar.

Roy is survived by his children, LeRoy (Mary Kay) Boyle, Appleton, and Betty (Jerry) Jennerjohn, New London; his grandchildren, Gina (Tom) Rebman, Laura (Scott) Knapp, Jeff (Diane) Jennerjohn, Cindy (Terry) Delfosse, and Rick (Kim) Jennerjohn; 21 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Margaret Stiebs, Appleton and Ruth (Ed) Mendell, Oshkosh; his brother, Joseph (Betty) Boyle, Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Cora Jane Boyle and Francis Boyle. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor; two brothers, Clarence and Anton Boyle; and a brother-in-law, Paul Stiebs.

In accordance with Roy's wishes, a private funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Fr. Thomas J. Farrell officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Memorial contributions in Roy's name may be made to a fund that is being established.
