Yesterday

Miss my friend every time I look at a starry sky as one of his favorite things to do was sit on his "thinking bench" and share his knowledge of the constellations.

This is sad news that I am just now finding out about 10 years after his passing.
My condolences to his family, who I am sure still hold him close in the memories they have of him.
I haven´t seen Bill since 1979, the last we spoke was in the early `80s, both of us starting new families.
He and I go way back, to the 4th grade at St. Thomas Moore grade school, and later at Ryan High School (class of `70).
Bill traveled off after HS, and when he came back home I could tell he had changed from the old Bill. As we talked, he shared God´ plan of salvation with me, and gave me gospel tracts. Bill is the one that planted the seed of the Gospel of Christ in my soul.
I am now part of a prison ministry in the Dallas, TX area, and I have been sharing that story of how it was an old friend that lead me to the Lord.
Bill was a true leader.

"For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. For now, I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known." 1 Cor. 13:12

So hard to believe so much time has gone by since Will passed. He was truly the most genuine human being I have ever met, and he will be forever missed from my life. His energy is still evident, and that gives me comfort. Peace to his family who I know miss his presence every day.

Will was a very trusted adviser to us when remodeling our offices. Loved his eye for design & attention to details.
I enjoyed the long conversations about our faith journeys.
We recently sold our business & were looking for an office desk for a home office. Did not "hear" back from Will after emailing him - went searching today & found his obituary. Even though it has been months since Will passed away, I'm praying for each of his children - for God's peace & protection.

Our deepest sympathyies go out to the whole VanMoorlegehem family. Will and Jane contributed greatly in the early days of building the foundation of Christ The Rock Church. Thier contribution and legacy will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
I also have great memories of playing football with Will on the ice at Elder retreats in January. I can't tell you how many times he would get open and he would catch the ball thrown to him and scored touchdowns.
Our hearts ache with the family in this huge loss. You will be in our most earnest prayers.

Bill was one of my older cousins and I think all of kids thought he was the coolest guy ever! More important he was really nice and kind to everyone - even us much younger cousins. He had a good heart and a kind soul.

We knew Will through work. He was an amazing puzzle solver with his clever ways of making small rooms very workable with his vast knowledge of design. He was always a pleasure to work and converse with. Please accept our sympathies in the loss of your father. Jane & everyone at Valley Eye Associates.

I was also had the pleasure of experiencing his Funeramas. He left a mark which will never be forgotten. Will and Jane played a significant role in the lives of our family members, especially in the late 80's and early 90's when we were raising a young family. Will's leadership and Jane's compassionate and loving heart were felt deeply by our family. We will miss you Will and send our love and deepest sympathy to his children. We know he rests now in peace with our daughter Julia.

Will is a star in my life sky, I believe whoever I meet and share life with is for a reason. His energy warmed my soul with kindness and wisdom, I so enjoyed the spiritual and human conversations I had with him. The wind some how has wisked him away so fast. Tim and I are truely sad and miss him. We do also luv all of Will's beautiful children that were given to us to never forget him. Peace and comfort
