Adrian Joseph "A.J." Morrell, 69, of Star Valley Ranch, Wyo., died June 28, 2008, in Salt Lake City of trauma attributed to a head injury.
He was born May 2, 1939, in Blackfoot to A.H. and Lila Morrell. He was the second of four children. He graduated from Blackfoot High School. He earned an associate degree from Ricks College. He served in the Army Reserves for six years. He served an LDS mission in England and Wales.
On Aug. 5, 1964, he married Rosemary Delaney in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked in several man- agement capacities, including VP and controller for Valley Bank and director of human resources for Idaho Fresh Pak. He retired in 2002. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in two bishoprics, two high councils and as an ordinance worker in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
Survivors include his wife; children, Lisa Kunz of Ashton, Tony (Evelyn) Morrell of Carey and Kyle (Sunny) Morrell of Meridian; seven grandchildren; and siblings, Cheryl (Mick) Ishida of Lacey, Wash., Reid (Susan) Morrell of Blackfoot and Zan Morrell of Blackfoot. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Thayne, Wyo., LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today, July 2, at Schwab Funeral Chapel in Thayne, Wyo., and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before services at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Humanitarian Fund or the Perpetual Education Fund of the LDS church.

Rosemary,
I was saddened to learn about A.J. Even though we have not kept in touch over the years, I have always considered you my friends and have fond memories of our get-togethers. A.J. always had a positive attitude and was so fun to be around. I smile when I think of him. My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time.

Rosemary and Family.
I was so deeply saddened to read of the passing of A.J. I enjoyed working with him at Idaho Fresh-Pak, and truly am grateful for the kindness and friendship that he showed to me during the years I worked with him. He was a great boss and he could always make me laugh.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I will truly miss him, he was a very positive influence in my life.
