Cecil E Davis, 55, of Idaho Falls, passed away April 19, 2018, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Cecil was born June 15, 1962, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Harold William Davis and Enid Lee Davis. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, later attending BYU, studying Construction Management.
On December 11, 1999, he married "that girl" Yu Wen Yang Davis (Sherry) in the Taipei Taiwan Temple. His children are the light of his life and oh how he adores his "G-Dots" (Granddaughters)!
Cecil lived in Utah, California, Arizona, Taiwan and he and Sherry settled in Idaho Falls, where he was President of Electrical Wholesale Supply Co., Inc. at the time of his passing. While living in Asia, Cecil worked for Daw Technologies and CST Asia in building clean rooms. There was a time when there were only 13 clean rooms in China and Cecil had built 11 of them.
Cecil was a natural leader and the life of the party. He was very generous and brought a smile to the face of everyone he knew. Many have said, "I just lost my best friend."
He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings including Branch President of the Hsichu, Taiwan Branch, Scout Master, High Priest Group Leadership, Elders Quorum President, Executive Secretary and YM President at the time of his death. Oh, let's not forget how he loved those he served as a Home Teacher.
Cecil made everything into an adventure! He enjoyed developing his property in Bone, boating with friends and family, building the EWS hangar and his relationships with those from the electrical and business worlds. Everyone loved to be part of an adventure with him.
Cecil is survived by his parents, Harold William Davis and Enid Lee Davis; his loving wife, Yu Wen (Sherry) Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho; son Brock (Bethany) Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada and their daughters Ryann and Hannah; son Braxton (Isabelle) Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada and their daughter Kaydence with one more on the way; son Zedekiah (Z) Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter Jessica (Clinton) Harker of Idaho Falls, Idaho and their daughter Hope; daughter Jordyn (Alfredo) Carranza of Idaho Falls, Idaho and their daughter Sawyer; daughter Zoe Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and all of his siblings: Rebecca (Doug) Davis of Castle Rock, Colorado, Bart (Marion) Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Kreg (Susan) Davis of Idaho Falls, Idaho, William (Lynda) Davis of New Bremen, Ohio, Ben (Debbie) Davis of Elk Grove, California, Melissa Davis (Len) Hartley of Boise, Idaho, and Kari (Ron) Porter of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Idaho Falls LDS Westview Ward, 2020 South Charlotte Drive, with Bishop Ken Anderson officiating.

It's been a lifetime ago... he and I were best friends as teenagers. I'm sad that he has passed. I would have liked to talk to him again. I miss the days of sitting in his mom kitchen talking about the complexities of life.

I am deeply sadden by hearing of the passing of my good friend and coworker Cecil Davis. We traveled thousands of miles together proposing on clean room projects in many places along the Pacific Rim and in the US. Cecil loved people and everyone was his friend. He always looked for the good in those around him and I am no exception. Cecil loved our Savior Jesus Christ and he lived his life true to Christ's teaching. He was a worthy true blue man and a faithful disciple of Christ as we traveled together. We talk many hours about family and he would tell me how much he loved them and wanted to be at every activity. There were times when he would figure out special connecting flights so he could work all day in China and then fly many hours across the international date line so he could be at a special school activity that same day in the USA. Cecil was a special spirit and he must be needed in another place to have Heavenly Father take him so young. I will miss him but I also know in the eternal sense, we will cross paths again. My deepest condolences to his family.

Loved this guy. He always made me feel like I was one of the gang even when I was so not one of the gang. And he looked great in a Tutu our sophomore year when we beat the seniors and juniors in homecoming skit. What a good sport.
